Reigniting the Passion for Leadership
In today’s volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world, Christian school leaders must adapt and rise to the challenges created by ever-changing circumstances. In this session, participants will fan the flames of their intrinsic strengths and strategic skills needed to lead with agility. You will also work to improve your ability to influence both within your school and externally to cast and accomplish your school’s purpose. By the end of this session, you will have gained a new level of confidence to better impact your stakeholders. This session includes a year of access to mentoring and coaching through the Early Education Leader Network. This professional learning community (PLC) meets monthly to explore the most urgent leadership topics pertaining to Christian early education. Leaders are also encouraged to subscribe to the Early Education Leader Connect meetings and newsletter.Childhood Trauma - Fueling the Fire of Challenging Behavior
It’s no secret that children who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences are more difficult to parent, teach, and engage with. They may struggle to learn, pay attention, engage in prosocial behaviors, and have higher rates of defiance and disruptive behavior disorders such as ADHD, ODD, and CD. Learn strategies that promote faith development and reduce challenging behavior. Trauma changes the brain by rewiring it to constantly be on guard – causing young learners to fight, freeze, or be fidgety or fearful. Participants will learn five instructional strategies they can implement in their classrooms on Monday.
